Project Lunch VR Teaching Under Pressure: a VR Simulation for Developing Emotional and Reflexive Classroom Management Skills

Classroom management skills are recognised as having a major impact on the quality of instruction and teacher wellbeing. At the same time, however, these skills are among the most challenging to develop during teacher training. In this talk, the project team of SFUVET and FFHS will present a multiplayer VR environment and corresponding learning analytics dashboard. These tools combined aim to facilitate the teachers’ reflection on their emotional reactions to challenging classroom dynamics. The project team will share their lessons learned based on exemplary physiological data collected during the pilot study “VR Teaching Under Pressure“.
