Booster Call
Do you have an innovative project idea as a researcher at one of BeLEARN’s supporting universities that you would like to realise together with a cooperation partner? BeLEARN supports forward-looking collaborative projects in the field of digitalisation and education through its Booster Fund as seed funding.
Booster Call 2026
Next Booster Call: submission deadline 20 September 2026
NEW: To ensure that BeLEARN’s project funding covers all educational levels as comprehensively as possible, the Booster-Call 2026 prioritizes projects focusing on primary and lower secondary education. All other educational levels remain eligible and welcome.
To also support larger initiatives requiring seed funding, an exceptional maximum of CHF 20,000.– per cooperation partner may be requested in the Booster-Call 2026, instead of the usual CHF 10,000.–.
Procedure
Step 1: Review Your Idea
Before submitting an application, we recommend that you ask yourself the following questions about your research idea:
Innovative power for educational practice
- Does your project offer new insights or solutions to current challenges in educational practice? (see also “Needs & Trends” on BeLEARN-Connect)
- What specific added value does your idea offer teachers, learners or educational institutions?
Translation into educational practice
- How will you ensure that your research results are quickly transferred into practice?
- How do you plan to make your findings accessible and usable for practitioners? (e.g. practical guides, workshops, cooperation with educational institutions)
- Do you already have contacts with partners in the field, or are you planning to establish such connections?
Sustainability and follow-up funding
- The Booster offers start-up funding – how can your project be continued afterwards?
- What options do you see for follow-up funding? (e.g. third-party funding, institutional funding, project partners)
- Does your project lay the foundation for larger follow-up projects or long-term collaborations?
