Education 6.0: Learning and Teaching with Artificial Intelligence: Inclusion Instead of Disruption
The project provides relevant and reliable information on the proper use of AI-based tools for students and teachers on an online platform.
Duration: March 2023 – February 2024
Status: Completed
Educational Level: Tertiary Level
Topic: Artificial Intelligence AI
Keywords: Artificial Intelligence in Teaching
Initial Situation
Various forms of artificial intelligence (AI) are now present in many areas of everyday life. There is also potential in higher education to support teachers and students with AI-based tools. At present, AI does not always perform reliably, so it is essential to critically reflect on the results generated by AI. However, if the relevant digital skills are in place, AI-based tools can contribute to efficient and effective teaching and learning.
Objectives
This project is developing use cases that demonstrate how AI-based tools can be used efficiently for teaching and learning.
Method
We conducted a survey distributed students and lecturers in higher education to collect information about the current use of AI-based tools in higher education and possible future uses cases. Further, we conducted a workshop to identify use cases and risks of the use of AI-based tools.
Results
The result are tipps and tricks for selected use cases made available at the project website.
Implemented Translation
The website is used in courses for lecturers and students on a regular basis.
