Are you a researcher, practice partner or start-up with an innovative idea for a one-year or multi-year research project in the field of digital education? BeLEARN is organizing a barcamp for the first time in 2025, where you can develop your project ideas together with other interested parties and submit a project proposal. Format

The Barcamp is an innovative project development format that differs from the traditional project application process. Over two workshop days, you will have the opportunity to

  • Develop and present your project ideas
  • Network with other participants
  • Find potential cooperation partners
  • Further develop your ideas with professional support
  • Receive direct feedback from the jury
  • Develop a project proposal with guidance

Requirements

All researchers from the founding universities are eligible to participate. Other educational institutions, start-ups and practice partners are also welcome, provided they would like to work with at least one BeLEARN founding university. Participation in the Barcamp is free of charge, but registration is required.

Procedure

Step 1 Registration on BeLEARN-Connect

Register on our BeLEARN-Connect platform by April 20, 2025. Note: Please fill out your profile completely (incl. skills, experience, etc.) for the best possible matching results.

Step 2 Barcamp registration

Fill out the registration form on the platform to register for the Barcamp.

Step 3 Participation Barcamp Day 1

On the first day, you will present your project idea, network with other participants and work in groups to further develop your ideas. The locomotives will actively support you with their expertise.

Step 4 Participation in Barcamp Day 2

The second day is used to prepare and finalize the project proposals. You will receive further input and concrete support with the application.

Step 5 Announcement of the funding decision

At the end of June 2025, you will receive feedback on whether your project will be funded.

Dates 2025

  • Registration deadline for participation in the Barcamp: 20.04.2025
  • Barcamp first day: May 8, 2025
  • Barcamp second day: June 10, 2025
  • Decision on funding: end of June 2025
  • Project start: January 2026
