Brig/Bern 15. Februar 2022 – Das Wissens- und Forschungsnetzwerk BeLEARN hat sich das Ziel gesetzt, die digitale Transformation in der Bildung zu beschleunigen. Neu ist auch die Fernfachhochschule Schweiz (FFHS) als Kooperationspartnerin mit an Bord und bringt ihre Kompetenzen in der E-Didaktik mit ein.
BeLEARN wurde von fünf Gründerhochschulen auf Initiative und mit der Unterstützung des Kantons Bern Ende 2021 lanciert und bringt Forschende, Bildungsakteure und Unternehmerinnen aller Bildungsstufen miteinander in Verbindung. Das Netzwerk will insbesondere durch Forschung und Entwicklung sowie Wissens- und Technologietransfer neue Wege in der Bildung aufzeigen – eine Vision, die auch die FFHS teilt. «Nicht zuletzt die Pandemie hat uns gezeigt, dass Antworten auf die Herausforderungen der digitalen Bildung dringend gesucht werden», erklärt FFHS-Rektor Michael Zurwerra. «Deshalb engagieren wir uns bei BeLEARN und bringen unsere über 20-jährige Expertise im Distance Learning mit ein».
Lösungen für den Bildungsalltag
Mit dem Institut für Fernstudien- und eLearningforschung (IFeL) verfügt die FFHS über explizite Forschung in dem Gebiet und ist seit 2017 Inhaberin eines UNESCO-Lehrstuhls für personalisiertes und adaptives Fernstudium. «Die Partnerschaft war für uns ein logischer Schritt», sagt Prof. Dr. Per Bergamin, Leiter IFeL. Die Zusammenarbeit konzentriert sich in erster Linie auf gemeinsame Projekte und auf den Wissenstransfer in den Themenbereichen Digital Tools, Digital Skills und Data Science for Education.
Forschungsbasierte Lösungen für die Praxis stehen dabei im Vordergrund. Dr. Katrin Müller, Geschäftsführerin von BeLEARN, unterstreicht: «Die FFHS arbeitet bereits heute mit verschiedenen Gründerhochschulen von BeLEARN zusammen. Im Rahmen der formalisierten Partnerschafts-vereinbarung institutionalisieren wir diese Kooperation unter dem Dach BeLEARN, sei es zwischen Forschung und Praxis oder zwischen Forschung und Start-ups. Kurze Wege, das Nutzen von Synergien sowie das Denken in Netzwerken führen zur raschen Übersetzung in die Praxis und kommen der Bildungspraxis zugute».

Die Fernfachhochschule Schweiz (FFHS) bietet als eidgenössisch anerkannte Fachhochschule seit 1998 berufsbegleitende Bachelor- und Master-Studiengänge sowie Weiterbildungen in den Bereichen Wirtschaft, Informatik, Engineering, Recht und Gesundheit an. Seit 2004 ist die FFHS eine affiliierte Schule der SUPSI. Durch das weitgehend zeit- und ortsunabhängige Studienmodell ist sie eine Studienalternative für all jene, die Berufstätigkeit, Familie und Studium kombinieren möchten. BeLEARN ist das neue Kompetenzzentrum für Digitalisierung und Bildung in Bern in Zusammenarbeit mit der BFH, Uni Bern, PH Bern, EPFL und der Eidgenössischen Hochschule für Berufsbildung. BeLEARN findet Antworten auf Fragestellungen zum Lehren und Lernen in der digitalisierten Welt, durch Übersetzung von Forschungsergebnissen in konkrete Lösungen für die Praxis und die Vernetzung aller Akteur*innen in der Bildung. Im Hub von BeLEARN arbeiten Forscher*innen, Start-ups und die Geschäftsstelle unter einem Dach, um einen fruchtbaren und bereichernden Austausch zu ermöglichen. www.belearn.swiss
Brig/Berne, le 15 février 2022 – Le réseau de recherche et de connaissances BeLEARN s’est fixé comme objectif d’accélérer la transformation numérique dans l’éducation. La Haute école spécialisée suisse à distance (FFHS) est notre nouveau partenaire et partage ses compétences dans le secteur de la e-didactique.
BeLEARN a été lancé à la fin 2021 par cinq hautes écoles à l’initiative et avec le soutien du canton de Berne et met en relation des chercheurs, des acteurs dans le secteur de l’éduction et des entrepreneurs de tous les niveaux de formation. Le réseau souhaite mettre en évidence d’autres voies grâce à la recherche et au développement ainsi qu’au transfert de connaissances et de technologie. Une vision que partage également la FFHS. «La pandémie nous a montré qu’il est urgent de trouver des réponses aux défis de l’éducation numérique», explique le recteur de la FFHS Michael Zurwerra. «C’est pourquoi chez BeLEARN, nous nous engageons et investissons nos plus de 20 ans d’expertise dans l’apprentissage à distance.»
Solutions pour l’éducation au quotidien
Avec l’Institut pour la recherche en enseignement à distance et eLearning (IFeL), la FFHS dispose d’une recherche explicite dans le domaine et est titulaire depuis 2017 d’une chaire UNESCO pour l’enseignement à distance personnalisé et adaptatif. «Le partenariat était pour nous une étape logique», indique Prof. Dr. Per Bergamin, responsable de l’IFeL. La collaboration se concentre en première ligne sur des projets communs et sur le transfert de connaissances dans les domaines thématiques des digital tools, digital skills et data science for education.
Les solutions basées sur la recherche pour la pratique sont au premier plan. Dr. Katrin Müller, gérante de BeLEARN, souligne: «La FFHS collabore déjà actuellement avec différentes hautes écoles de BeLEARN. Dans le cadre de la convention de partenariat formalisée, nous institutionnalisons cette coopération sous l’égide de BeLEARN, que ce soit entre la recherche et la pratique ou entre la recherche et les start-ups. Des voies courtes, l’utilisation de synergies ainsi que la pensée en réseau conduisent à une traduction rapide dans la pratique et profitent à la pratique éducative.»

En tant que haute école spécialisée reconnue par la Confédération, la Haute école spécialisée suisse à distance (FFHS) propose depuis 1998 des cursus de bachelor et de master en parallèle d’une activité professionnelle ainsi que des formations continues dans les domaines de l’économie, de l’informatique, de l’ingénierie, du droit et de la santé. La FFHS est une école affiliée de la SUPSI depuis 2004. Grâce à son modèle d’études largement indépendant du temps et du lieu, elle constitue une alternative d’études pour tous ceux qui souhaitent combiner activité professionnelle, famille et études. BeLEARN est le nouveau centre de compétences pour la numérisation et l’éducation à Berne, en collaboration avec la HESB, l’Université de Berne, la HEP Berne, l’EPFL et la Haute école fédérale en formation professionnelle. BeLEARN répond aux questions relatives à l’enseignement et à l’apprentissage dans un monde numérisé, en traduisant les résultats de la recherche en solutions concrètes pour la pratique et en mettant en réseau tous les acteurs de l’éducation. Brig/Bern 15th of February 2022 – BeLEARN, the knowledge and research network, aims to accelerate the digital transformation in education. The Swiss Distance Learning University of Applied Sciences (FFHS) is now also on board as a cooperation partner and is contributing its knowhow in e-didactics.
BeLEARN has been launched at the end of 2021 by five founding universities on the initiative and with the support of the Canton of Bern. It brings together researchers, educational stakeholders and entrepreneurs at all levels of education. The network aims in particular through research and development as well as knowledge and technology transfer to demonstrate new educational pathways – a vision that is also shared by the FFHS. «Last but not least, the pandemic has shown us that there is an urgent need to respond to the challenges of digital education» explains FFHS Rector Michael Zurwerra. «That is why we commit ourselves to BeLEARN and contribute our more than 20 years of expertise in distance learning.»
Providing solutions for everyday educational practice
With the Institute for Research in Open, Distance and eLearning (IFeL), the FFHS has at its disposal dedicated research in this field and holds since 2017 also a UNESCO Chair in Personalised and Adaptive Distance Learning. «The partnership was a logical step for us,» explains Prof Dr Per Bergamin, Head of IFeL. The cooperation focuses primarily on joint projects and knowledge transfer in digital tools, digital skills and data science for education.
The focus is on research-based solutions for practice. Dr Katrin Müller, Executive Director of BeLEARN, emphasises: «The FFHS is already working together with various BeLEARN founding universities. Within the framework of the formalised partnership agreement, we are institutionalising this cooperation under the BeLEARN umbrella, whether between research and practice or between research and start-ups. Short distances, the use of synergies and thinking in networks lead to rapid translation into practice and benefits to educational practice».
